THE ROLE

The Administrative Assistant - CANSOFCOM will provide administrative support to the Personnel Support Programs (PSP) Manager and the Morale and Welfare staff, such as research, data entry and compilation, record keeping, creating presentations and reports, photocopying, internal / external correspondence, mass mailing distribution and follow-up action, participate in working groups for the provision of administrative services;

recommend service improvements, as required, as well as assist in the development, maintenance and distribution of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).

The Administrative Assistant - CANSOFCOM will maintain computerized records of projects, contracts, and jobs received; assign work orders and ensure availability of data for contract delivery, maintain updated lists pertinent to CANSOFCOM, such as contacts, distribution lists, mailing and emergency call-out, as well as maintain records of expenditures and follow-up information for project and contractors;

record project expenditures to cost centers / accounts (GL).

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

Education, Certifications and Licenses

College diploma or certificate in Office Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field AND some years of experience in office administration, corporate services, health promotion, fitness, sports, recreation, family services or a related field.

OTHER INFORMATION

This is a hybrid position with an assigned work location allowing the employee to work partly from a corporate office and partly from a home office in accordance with the CFMWS Flexible Work Options Policy, and with approval from the direct manager.
