We manage projects that require the skills of Millwrights, Ironworkers, Electricians, HVAC technicians, Pipefitters, and have our own in-house Fabrication Shop, as well as Automation & Machining Shop.

THE ADMINISTRATION TEAM

The Administration Team is a small group of passionate, motivated individuals that strive daily for accurate and timely financial records.

Each member works independently on various aspects of Administration and accounting tasks, and also comes together as a strong and supportive team to assist each other regarding data entry or helping process larger volumes of work.

Our goal is ensure team members understand why policies and procedures were implemented in order to create enhanced accuracy and efficiency, and breakdown the "why" to aid deeper understanding of AIM Industrial and our accounting.

As such, growth minded individuals will be strong candidates! The cross training we offer ensures no two days are the same, from working on Payroll earlier in the week, to focusing in AP / AR and other projects later in the week.

We share responsibility with filing and other general administration tasks. You can expect to be on your feet and problem solving daily.

THE POSITION : ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

You will be principally responsible for preparing and examining financial records for our company related to AP and Purchasing.

• Full cycle Accounts Payable
• Data validation
• Maintain positive vendor relations
• Follow Accounts Payable data management policies and correction procedures
• Distribute and enforcing Purchasing Policy to vendors and employees
• Obtain and organize primary financial data for accounting records
• Compute and record numerical data related to PST, HST, QST, foreign exchange
• Check the accuracy of business transactions
• Perform data entry and general administrative duties including filing
• Cross training will include payroll data entry and assisting in T&M costing

Qualifications & Skills :

• Previous experience in full cycle AP, accounting, finance, or other related fields minimum of 1 year
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and bookkeeping
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Strong organizational skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Professional and clear written and verbal communication required
• Previous experience working for a multi-trade contractor is a strong asset
• Ability to work independently on primary tasks related to AP, and as part of a team for cross-trained areas

DETAILS

• Office Hours : Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM, with 1 / 2 hour lunch break from 12 : 00-12 : 30
• Hourly wage : negotiable based on level of experience in full cycle AP
• Reports to : Accounting Manager
• In office, remote work is not available for this position
